Tom Brady addresses elbow injury: ‘How did it look yesterday?’

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was dealing with an elbow issue heading into Week 12 against the Dallas Cowboys. He was limited in practice on Friday, and was questionable for Sunday after leaving practice early. And yet Brady played — and did so in horrible conditions of snow, slush, rain, mist and low temperatures.

Brady completed just 45.9% percent of his passes for 190 yards and a touchdown, but he said the elbow issue felt good.

“It’s doing well. Thanks for asking. I appreciate it. Thank you,” Brady said on WEEI on Monday morning. “How did it look yesterday? I think it speaks for itself.”

Brady’s performance featured up and down moments, while he watched his receivers commit four drops. (The conditions surely contributed.) The Patriots also featured the running game heavily, and they were afforded a number of short fields, which contributed to Brady’s humble passing totals.

But there was no doubt that he had some struggles, with a few misfires to pass-catchers like James White. Brady also didn’t have his second or third receivers, as Mohamed Sanu (ankle) and Phillip Dorset (concussion) were ruled out before the game. The quarterback did the best with what he could.

Brady, 42, seemed to feel good about his health heading in Week 13, with a matchup against the Houston Texans.
