Don Muang Tollway (DMT) is targeting 10% revenue growth this year as cost controls and new businesses help offset weaker traffic and higher energy costs.
DMT managing director Sakda Panwai said the company generated 1.287 billion baht in total revenue during the first six months of 2026, including toll fees, service income and sales of related products, while net profit reached 525.16 million baht.
The results reflected DMT’s ability to control costs and maintain profitability despite external pressures affecting traffic during the second quarter, Mr Sakda said.
Traffic on the tollway averaged 95,571 vehicles in the second quarter, affected by the conflict in the Middle East and higher energy prices, which increased travel costs and living expenses.
Traffic was also weakened by a 10-day holiday period spanning May and June, while airlines operating from Don Mueang airport reduced some flights because of higher fuel costs. The decline in passengers reduced traffic on routes connecting the airport.
Despite the challenges, DMT is maintaining its full-year revenue growth target of about 10% and will closely monitor economic conditions, energy prices and traffic trends, Mr Sakda said.
The company is also pursuing its New Business Venture strategy to create additional sources of income and reduce reliance on toll revenue. Planned expansion includes engineering, repair and maintenance of infrastructure, digital payment systems, traffic systems and related services.
Mr Sakda said effective management of costs and expenses had allowed DMT to preserve profitability while developing new revenue streams to support longer-term growth.
