Tollcross shooting: man hospitalised as shocking photo shows bullet hole in window

Police say a man was hospitalised after a gun was fired at a flat in Tollcross in the east end of Glasgow.

Emergency services raced to the scene on Dunira Street in the early hours of Monday morning.

Officers arrived to find a bullet hole through one of the windows, as shown in shocking photos published since the incident.

Police confirmed a 35-year-old man was injured in the incident and was rushed to hospital where he is described as being in a stable condition.

With investigations continuing, a Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: “Around 3.50 am on, Monday, 2 November 2020, police received a report of a firearm having been discharged at a flat in Dunira Street, Tollcross, Glasgow.  Officers attended and found that the window of the flat had been damaged as a result.

"A 35-year-old man was injured during the incident and is being treated at a local hospital where medical staff describe his condition as stable.

“Enquiries are ongoing."
