Tollcross Road police incident: Glasgow teenager seriously injured in 'disturbance' after bike stolen

A teenager has been left with serious injuries following a 'disturbance' in Glasgow's east end.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Tollcross Road shortly before 10pm on Wednesday night.

Police have since confirmed the 17-year-old's bike had earlier been stolen on nearby Altyre Street and they are currently investigating whether the two incidents are linked.

A Police Scotland spokesperson this morning confirmed: "Around 9.45 pm on Wed 21 April 2021, police were called after 17-year-old man was seriously injured following a disturbance on Tollcross Road, Glasgow.

"The man's bike had been stolen earlier, around 9.05pm on Altyre Street, Tollcross, Glasgow.

"Enquiries are ongoing into both incidents and as to whether they are linked."
