Tollcross incident: Three men hospitalised following serious assault

Three men are in hospital following a serious assault in the east end of Glasgow.

Police and emergency services raced to the scene around 2:25am this morning on Glenisla Street in the Tollcross area.

Two men were taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and a third man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary Hospital where they all remain.

Police enquiries are ongoing into the incident.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “We received a report of a serious assault having taken place on Glenisla Street, Glasgow, around 2.25am today, Sunday, 30 August, 2020.

"Two men were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and a third man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary Hospital where they all remain.

"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 0592 of 30 August.”
