Toledo (1-1) vs. Colorado State (1-2) Game Preview
What’s Going To Happen
The Rockets need to get out to a hot start on the road to make a statement early on. They rocked Murray State, lost to Kentucky, and now are playing someone their own size. So far, the defense has been great on third downs, and the offense has been able to balance things out enough to be a problem.
Helping the cause is the Colorado State quarterback situation – starting QB Collin Hill is done for the year with a torn ACL. 6-5, 244-pound junior Nebraska transfer Patrick O’Brien, though, appears to be able to handle the work after stepping in and hitting 8-of-11 throws in the loss to Arkansas.
The Rockets will win the turnover battle – they’ll end up a +2 on the day – but O’Brien will come through with a huge performance at home. The passing game will trade punches with the Rockets as the Rams win a wild firefight. Expect a whole lot of points and a whole lot of wild big plays.
