
Tokyu Plaza Shibuya, a commercial facility, which was closed in 2015 following redevelopment around Shibuya Station in Shibuya Ward, Tokyo, opens on Thursday for the first time in four years at the new Shibuya Fukuras complex on the west side of the station.
A preview for the press was held on Tuesday during which brand-new restaurants and stores were on display.
The new Tokyu Plaza Shibuya occupies the second to eighth floors with additional space on the 17th and 18th floors at Shibuya Fukuras, which features 18 stories above ground and four underground floors.
Tokyu Plaza Shibuya houses 69 stores, including fashion, cosmetic outlets stores with general goods as well as restaurants.
It has also an open space named Shibuniwa on 17th floor from which visitors can enjoy views of Shibuya, including nighttime looks of the area.
Restaurant Ce La Vi, which has a location in Singapore's luxury hotel Marina Bay Sands, is on 17th and 18th floors.
"We are taking the bold step of targeting adults in Shibuya, a place with a strong image as an area for young people. I hope visitors enjoy shopping," said Yasuhiro Nagao, a general manager.
