The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation in Koto Ward, Tokyo, is running a special program with a review of 32 videos screened over the past decade on a huge spherical display.
Dubbed the Geo-Cosmos, the 6-meter-diameter globe is a collection of interconnected electroluminescent panels.
Content displayed includes images that visualize the rise in the Earth's temperature due to climate change, for example, as well as colorful artworks.
The Geo-Cosmos has been in use since 2011 and will undergo maintenance from early October to increase the display quality. Work is scheduled to be completed in March next year.
The special program runs through Oct. 4.
