Tokyo reports 2,268 infections

The Tokyo metropolitan government logged 2,268 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, with the tally exceeding 2,000 for the third consecutive day.

The number of serious cases was 129, unchanged from the previous day. Of the 2,268 cases, people aged 65 and older accounted for 266. The cumulative number of confirmed cases in the capital totals 73,450.
