Tokyo recorded 323 new cases of the novel coronavirus on Thursday, the metropolitan government said.
It was the first time in 10 days that the number was lower than the daily figure on the same day of the previous week. The figure for March 11 was 335.
The moving average of the daily figure during the past seven days was 297.1, up 8.8% from that of the previous seven days, at 273.1.
The number of seriously ill patients was 44 as of Thursday, up three from Wednesday.
