Tokyo Olympics 2021 - LIVE!
Day eight of the Games has brought more outstanding British results, with another Team GB gold medal rush.
Jonny Brownlee claimed that elusive Olympic gold alongside individual silver medallists Alex Yee and Georgia Taylor-Brown, plus Jess Learmonth as the quartet won the mixed relay triathlon.
Adam Peaty, James Guy, Kathleen Dawson and Anna Hopkin followed up with more gold in the mixed 4x100m medley relay final.
But there was a big shock as Dina Asher-Smith failed to reach the women’s 100m final. She later revealed she has been injured and will not compete in the 200m.
Elsewhere, the likes of Team USA’s Caeleb Dressel, Katie Ledecky and Australian Kaylee McKeown also secured gold at the Aquatics Centre.
Emma Wilson secured a bronze in the women’s windsurfing, while the women’s rugby sevens team missed out on bronze when they lost to Fiji.
