Tokyo Olympics 2020: Smriti Irani, Gurmeet Choudhary and other celebs congratulate Indian Men’s Hockey Team’s bronze win

Indian Men’s Hockey team created history by defeating Germany in a high-intensity match to win the bronze medal in Tokyo Olympics 2020. It is their first medal in Olympics after a gap of 41 years.

Celebs across took to social media to congratulate the team on this win and creating a historic moment.

Actress-turned-politician Smriti Irani wrote, “A wait of 4 decades comes to an end by sheer determination, hard work & perseverance! Thank you Team Hockey India, your historic win has fulfilled dreams of a Billion+ & energised our young to aspire to rise to greater heights! I bow in awe and gratitude.”

Karan Tacker wrote, “#teamIndia making us proud for bringing home another medal ! #Tokyo2020 #Hockey #Wrestling”

Ashnoor Kaur wrote ‘Proud’ to Sachin Tendulkar’s congratulatory tweet.

Kritika Kamra, Nakuul Mehta, Vindu Dara Singh and many others posted congratulatory messages.

It is India's third hockey bronze medal in the history of the Olympics. The other two came in 1968 Mexico City and the 1972 Munich Games. People all over the country are thrilled and have flooded Twitter with congratulatory messages.
