
The Tokyo National Museum in Tokyo's Ueno district, under temporary closure due to the COVID-19 outbreak, announced Thursday that some of its exhibition facilities will be reopened from June 2. The main building and permanent exhibits such as the Gallery of Horyuji temple treasures will be reopened. Those wishing to visit the museum are requested to make reservations online in advance, using the reservation system which will begin operation at noon on June 1.
Three national museums in Kyoto, Nara Prefecture and the Kyushu region will also partially reopen from June 2.
