Tokyo marks 353 new infections, 84 serious cases

Tokyo logged 353 new cases of the novel coronavirus Friday, the metropolitan government said, while the number of people seriously ill with COVID-19 was the same as the previous day at 84.

The seven-day average of daily infections is 361.7, 84.7% that of the 426.9 infections during the previous seven-day period.

The Tokyo metropolitan government's target is for the moving average to be 70% that of the preceding seven-day interval.
