Tokyo logs 660 new cases

Tokyo logged 660 new novel coronavirus infections on Friday, up by 98 from last Friday, marking the 13th consecutive day in which the daily tally exceeded the same-day figure of the previous week.

The seven-day moving average was 537.1, up 18% from 455.1 last week, according to the Tokyo metropolitan government.

The number of seriously ill patients remained the same at 54 from Thursday.
