Tokyo logs 614 cases

The Tokyo metropolitan government announced on Sunday that it had confirmed 614 new cases of the novel coronavirus in the capital, an increase of 96 from one week before.

The daily number has now exceeded that of the same day in the previous week for 22 consecutive days.

According to the metropolitan government, the moving average over the past seven days was 733.9, up 26.1% from the previous seven-day period at 582.

The number of seriously ill patients decreased by two from the previous day to 61.
