Tokyo Gov. Koike to seek reelection

Tokyo Gov. Yuriko Koike, 67, announced Friday she will seek reelection in the upcoming Tokyo gubernatorial election. "I would like to further promote the great reform of Tokyo, which I have been engaged in so far," Koike said at a press conference at the Tokyo metropolitan government on Friday evening.

The election will officially be announced next Thursday and held on July 5.
