Oriental Land Co. announced on Tuesday that Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea in Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, will reopen on July 1. Both facilities have been closed for nearly four months since Feb. 29.

The theme parks will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for the time being, with a reservation system in place to help prevent infections. The number of visitors allowed in per day will be less than half the usual number.

Body temperature will be checked at the entrance and those who have a temperature of 37.5C or higher will be asked not to enter the park. The facilities will ask visitors to wear masks and will reduce the number of seats in attractions. They will also not allow interaction with the parks' characters. Oriental Land said, "We will operate under the guidance of government agencies and give top priority to ensuring health and safety."
