Tokyo confirms 8 more coronavirus cases

Eight people in Tokyo were newly confirmed to be infected with the novel coronavirus on Monday.

The figure returned to the single digits, as it was on Saturday, when two people were confirmed. The daily figure has been below 20 for the 11th straight day, dating back to May 15.

The total number of people infected in Tokyo rose to 5,160.
