'Toilet paper calculator' created to see how much you need during self-isolation

As families across the country are now to remain at home for the foreseeable future many will be making sure they’ve everything they need to do so - including toilet roll.

Fortunately, bargain hunter Tom Church has created a toilet roll calculator, which will help people work out how much they really need while in self-isolation.

Frustrated with the amounts of toilet roll he witnessed shoppers purchasing at supermarkets, Tom created a free calculator to help people avoid panic buying and stockpiling.

Tom, who is also the co-founder of LatestDeals.co.uk, said:"I went to the supermarket and there was no toilet paper. No problem, I thought. I went to the next supermarket and it was also empty.

“Then I went to a third and still there was none. That was a week ago.

"Since then I've seen people leaving the supermarket with trolleys full of toilet paper. I mean bags and bags and bags of it.

"At first I thought maybe they just use the toilet a lot. Fair enough. But now it's ridiculous. So I set about creating a toilet paper calculator.

“It tells you how many rolls you actually need and you can change it depending on your wiping style."

The free tool could help solve a serious problem the country is facing at the moment as supermarkets struggle to cope with demand.

You can use the calculator here, to work out your toilet roll needs.
