Toddler rushed to hospital after falling from window of top floor flat

A toddler was rushed to hospital after falling from the window of a top floor flat in Barrhead.

Emergency services raced to Craighead Way around 8.25pm on Thursday September 2 after the horrifying incident.

A two-year-old girl was rushed to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow where she currently remains.

It is understood her condition is stable but the extent of her injuries is not yet known.

Cops have launched an investigation into the fall from the four-storey flat block to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

Enquiries currently remain ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said:“Police received report of a two-year-old girl who was injured after falling from the window of a flat on Craighead Way in Barrhead around 8.25pm on Thursday, September 2.

“Emergency services attended and she was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, where her condition is described as stable.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident.”
