Toddler rushed to Glasgow hospital after falling from window of top floor flat

A two-year-old girl was rushed to a Glasgow hospital after falling from the window of a top floor flat.

Emergency services were alerted to the scene on Craighead Way in the Barrhead area around 8.25pm on Thursday of last week (September 2).

The toddler was rushed by ambulance to Glasgow's Royal Hospital for Children, where she currently remains.

It is understood her condition is stable, but the extent of her injuries is not yet known, The Daily Record reports.

Police have confirmed that enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the fall.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police received report of a two-year-old girl who was injured after falling from the window of a flat on Craighead Way in Barrhead around 8.25pm on Thursday, September 2.

“Emergency services attended and she was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, where her condition is described as stable.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident.”
