Toddler rescued from flat fire in Bolton after clothes left on cooker

Two adults and a toddler were rescued from a flat fire in Bolton.

Three fire engines were called to a property in Tonge Moor Road at around 3.45am on Tuesday (March 10) after smoke triggered a communal alarm.

It is believed the clothes left on top of a hob caught fire.

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed three people inside - including two adults in their 20s and a child under two - were led to safety by crews.

No one was seriously injured in the incident.

A man received treatment for smoke inhalation.

Crews were at the scene for around 90 minutes.
