A tragic toddler shot himself dead while junkie mum was too high to notice he was playing with her gun.
Two-year-old Lokhi Bloom put the loaded pink .380 Ruger in his mouth thinking it was a water pistol as he liked to play with squirt guns.
His mum Melissa Adamson, 33, a recovering crystal meth addict, admits she had taken drugs so was not watching him when he pulled the trigger.
After the tot's tragic death she told police she'd loaded her pistol following a "threatening visit" from a drug dealer called Beast, the Colorado Springs Gazette reports.
She said she left the gun in her office while she went into the garage to call her sister.
When she heard a bang the mum rushed to the house and discovered Lokhi had shot himself.
The little boy died at the scene, last October.
When police searched the family home in Colorado they found drug paraphernalia, an axe and two toy guns that Lokhi used to play with.
Adamson admitted child abuse resulting in death and on Monday she was jailed for 24 years.
Before she cam clean her attorney tried to blame Lokhi's father who now lives in Chicago.
The feckless mum also pleaded guilty to contributing to the "delinquency of a minor" after admitting giving marijuana to two children.
She had faced between 16 to 26 years under a plea bargain.
