A Hamilton tot has social media in stitches after her reaction to a biscuit during a tantrum.
Tiny Ava McGilvary has become a viral TikTok sensation since she threw a wobbly on the social platform.
The video shows the two-year-old standing next to the couch in her home crying while her mum, Melissa O'Brien, 31, tries to sooth her and calm her down, the Daily Record reports.
As a last resort, the mum asks "Ava, do you want a biscuit" and, without missing a beat, the tot replies "aye".
Ava's aunt Megan O'Brien, 26, who captured the hilarious video and posted it on TikTok, says feisty Ava, who recently turned three, has always known her own mind.
She told the Record: "She is a wee character. She's crazy but she is so funny. Usually she answers 'yes' or 'no' but her dad had been saying 'aye' around the house and she must have picked it up. It was so funny when she just came out with it in the middle of a wee meltdown.
"I can't even remember why she was crying in the first place now but she had worked herself up and no matter what Melissa said she wasn't calming down - until she offered her a biscuit."
The hilarious exchange has been watched over 700,000 times with people calling Ava "the most Scottish baby ever".
Another said: "That was a strong “ aye “ love it. I’m the same someone offers me food over the next three week, I am stockpiling it."
Another added: "omg that's hysterical x ps she's soooooo beautiful."
"Aw ma god am screaming," said another.
A fourth said: "She says "aye" like a full grown woman i cant."
"I've lived in Scotland my whole 18 years and she has a stronger accent than me," said a fifth.
