Todd Wash praises Nick Foles for challenging his defense

Organized team activities and mandatory minicamp are now in the books for the Jacksonville Jaguars and most would agree the offense has looked good throughout. Defensive coordinator Todd Wash, who has battled the offense throughout both events, certainly would agree with those sentiments as they’ve challenged the defensive backfield especially.

After meeting with the media Thursday, Wash praise the offense, particularly quarterback Nick Foles.

Sounds like the fourth year defensive coordinator is loving the looks Foles is giving his defense, which in return should have the group better prepared for the regular season. That will especially be huge when considering the Jags open up against the Kansas City Chiefs and their high-powered offense Week 1.

Wash isn’t the first person on the defensive side to praise Foles as cornerback A.J. Bouye also said he was impressed with the veteran quarterback and his ball placement during OTAs. Tight end Geoff Swaim, who was signed after Foles in free-agency, also praise the veteran quarterback for his skill to utilize the tight end position.

All that said, the pads can’t get on soon enough as that will make things more challenging on Foles. Regardless as to how fans feel about him at the moment though, it’s hard to not be excited about what he’s brought to the table.
