Todd Gurley won’t be on snap count vs. Panthers in Week 1

All eyes are on Todd Gurley heading into the Los Angeles Rams’ Week 1 matchup with the Carolina Panthers, given the circumstances surrounding his knee. He hasn’t practiced on consecutive days yet this offseason as he recovers from the injury that limited him late last season.

Sean McVay did share a bit of good news on Thursday, telling reporters that Gurley will be a full-go and not limited to any sort of snap count. This goes along with what McVay has said all offseason, that Gurley will be his normal self in 2019.

This is a good sign for A) the Rams and B) fantasy owners everywhere. There’s resounding concern among those who drafted Gurley this year that his workload might be limited due to his balky knee.

The Rams have yet to play a single game, but it’s good to hear that his playing time won’t be limited due to his knee. Now, whether he comes off the field more often than last year because of Malcolm Brown and Darrell Henderson is a different story.

Week 1 could set the tone for what we can expect moving forward from Gurley.
