Todd Gurley, Sony Michel share their Top 3 UGA RB’s of all time

Todd Gurley and Sony Michel, two of the greatest running backs in the history of Georgia football, made an appearance at the Gatorade Player of The Year Awards Tuesday and answered a couple questions from the media.

While available, the two NFL stars were asked to rank the Top 3 UGA football running backs of all time at the Ritz Carlton in Marina Del Rey.

Of course, neither included themselves in their rankings but the two put together fairly similar lists.

Todd Gurley’s list: 

1. Herschel Walker
2. Nick Chubb
3. Sony Michel

Sony Michel’s list:

1. Herschel Walker
2. Nick Chubb
3. Todd Gurley

There’s no debate Walker had the greatest career at Georgia of anybody and will probably not be topped for a long time, but Gurley’s days in the silver britches were limited and Michel split carries with Chubb.

However, it’s hard to think either could have broken Walker’s records, though they are having plenty of sucess right now in the NFL with Gurley leading the league in regular season rushing and Michel the postseason.
