Todd Gurley doesn’t have Drake’s number because ‘he’s bad luck’

No matter the sport, seemingly every team or athlete Drake supports comes up short. From Kentucky to the Raptors (in years past) to most recently, boxer Anthony Johnson, Drake has a way of cursing those he roots for.

As a result, Todd Gurley isn’t taking any chances with the hip-hop star.

In a recent video for “Uninterrupted,” Gurley was asked by former NFL wideout Andrew Hawkins if he has Drake’s phone number. Gurley doesn’t, and the apparent reason is the curse that follows Drake everywhere.

“Nah, he’s bad luck,” Gurley said.

“Is he? You believe in the Drake curse?” Hawkins asked.

“He had the jacket on … before the, you know,” Gurley replied.

The “you know” Gurley is referring to is obviously the Super Bowl, which the Rams lost 13-3 to the Patriots. Little does Gurley know, the photo he’s referring to was photoshopped and fake, therefore Drake was never actually wearing a Rams jacket.

Still, it’s undeniably funny how seriously the harrowing Drake curse is being taken. All the evidence is there to support the case that the curse is real, and if the Raptors once again come up short in the NBA Finals, the curse will only grow stronger.

Below is the full video of Gurley and Hawkins talking about everything from running track to the food differences between St. Louis and Los Angeles.
