Todd Gurley dodges questions about his knee in first offseason press conference

Nearly a full month following the Rams’ underwhelming Super Bowl performance in a loss to the Patriots, it was reported that former Georgia running back Todd Gurley has arthritis in his knee.

Gurley has not yet confirmed that report, and the entire franchise has been odd about the entire situation. Dating back to the playoffs, Rams head coach Sean McVay told the media that Gurley was ‘feeling good,’ however, his combined 14 carries in the NFC Championship and Super Bowl suggested otherwise.

On Monday, for the first time since the Super Bowl,  Gurley fielded questions from the media. Of course, as I’m sure he predicted, a majority of them were about his knee.

“I know y’all been waiting for them, I’ve been waiting for them. So it’s all good,” Gurley said when asked if he’s tired of hearing questions about his knee.

“I’m feeling good, man,” Gurley said. “Just been taking it day by day, and I guess feeling pretty good.”

When asked if he could confirm whether he has arthritis or a degenerative condition in his knee, Gurley did not provide much of an answer there either.

“I mean, all I can focus on is just how I’m doing right now. I’m feeling pretty good, taking it day by day, and just trying to get better, get ready for the next season.”
