Todd Boehly told which Chelsea signing has 'disappointed more' than Richarlison and Antony

Todd Boehly has been told one Chelsea star has disappointed more this season than Richarlison and Antony. Premier League clubs have spent over £2.5billion on players this season after the English top-flight registered the highest ever January transfer window spend.

Naturally, some have impressed while others have struggled. The likes of Erling Haaland, Casemiro and Gabriel Jesus are among those who have seamlessly integrated into their new clubs, but Richarlison, Antony and various Blues signings have failed to have the same impact.

In the summer, the west London outfit committed around £270million towards Wesley Fofana, Marc Cucurella, Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly, Carney Chukwuemeka, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Gabriel Slonina and Denis Zakaria on loan. Then, in January, Chelsea spent a further £323million on Enzo Fernandez, Mykhailo Mudryk, Noni Madueke, David Datro Fofana, Andrey Santos, Malo Gusto and Joao Felix on loan.

Fernandez and Felix have hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge but Mudryk has struggled. The 22-year-old has impressed in glimpses since joining Chelsea but, having arrived with little game time under his belt, he's had to gradually build his match fitness.

Mudryk has featured six times for the west London outfit in the Premier League, directly contributing towards just one goal - an assist in Chelsea's 3-1 win over Leicester City. On ESPN, Craig Burley was quizzed on which high profile signing has disappointed the most this season.

He replied: "Mudryk it has to be, I’m not a big fan of Antony and Richarlison has been hot and cold; he’s not always had game time, Conte hasn’t always played him."

Despite Mudryk's misfortunes since joining Chelsea, Ukraine caretaker boss Ruslan Rotan has backed the winger to improve next season. Speaking to the press ahead of Ukraine’s Euro 2024 qualifier against England on Sunday, the 41-year-old said: "Mykhailo is a great talent and fulfilling his potential is right ahead of him.

"In a couple of months’ time he will play a key role in the Premier League. He’s one of the diamonds in our team and we cherish him. He’s very motivated to play at Wembley. He’s one of the key players. It’s very positive and we look forward to his future with great optimism."
