Chelsea still seem keen to sign Harry Kane this summer despite having wrapped up a deal for Nicolas Jackson. The Tottenham striker faces an increasingly uncertain future in north London with his contract set to expire at the end of next season.
Prior to the departure of Fabio Paratici in April, football.london understood that the Italian had been in contact with the 29-year-old's entourage to discuss an extension. It's said that Kane is open to discussing a new deal but, as it stands, he's yet to commit his long-term future to the Lilywhites.
With the England international expected to seek pastures new, Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford have been mooted as potential destinations. While the Blues are without Champions League qualification this term, they're reportedly prepared to lock horns with some of Europe's biggest clubs.
According to The Athletic, Manchester United are hoping to sign Kane as a free agent once his contract expire next summer after being priced out of a bid by Daniel Levy. The report states that Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have all contacted Spurs regarding a move, but the striker wants to stay in England.
It's said that Chelsea have enquired about possibly reuniting Kane with Pochettino, though Tottenham regard dealing with their London rivals as 'impossible'. The Englishman, who enjoyed a meteoric rise to superstardom under the Argentinean, was quizzed on his former boss' new job in west London while at a Reuters event in New York.
"Mauricio was an amazing manager for me," said Kane. "Great person, great, great coach. He helped me a lot to get to where I am now. So I’m really appreciative of him. Everyone has their career, everyone has their future. So all I can say is I wish him all the best. I hope he does well – just obviously not as well as us."
While a deal may be difficult to negotiate, Ian Wright believes that Pochettino can sweet talk Kane into leaving the Lilywhites. Speaking to Premier League Productions, the former Arsenal striker said: "That’s the only thing Tottenham fans wouldn’t be able to deal with, if he went to Chelsea.

"Can you imagine, if Pochettino went to Chelsea, with the young players he has got and the fact that he is so good with that kind of player? That progressive young player.
"When you look at the dressing room he has left, with respect to dealing with Neymar, [Lionel] Messi and [Kylian] Mbappe. The way he can manage that situation, with young players, with Harry Kane and with the players Chelsea have got.
"That’s scary. That could be scary for someone," Wright added. "If he had to sit down with somebody, you probably think Mauricio could tempt him there.
"You are talking about the legacy of Spurs. That’s the thing that would bother him, more than anything. He is loyal. Would he want to go all the way to Manchester (and leave London)?"
