RTE's Today with Maura and Daithi is set for a landmark change-up as a third presenter joins the show this September.
The popular dynamic duo will be joined by another TV star in a bid to shake up the already popular afternoon slot after seven years on air.
Maura Derrane and Daithi O Se will be scooching over to make room for a new face once the next season of the show hits screens again at the end of September.
A show insider told RSVP Live : "Maura and Daithi are getting a third presenter this year. However, bosses are keeping very quiet on who will be joining them."
The source continued: "Blathnaid Treacy is definitely in the running because she was such a hit with viewers on Can't Stop Dancing and RTE love her.
"But Muireann O'Connell has made waves on The Six O'Clock so she is another front runner for them. All we know is that is nobody has signed on the dotted line but the will reveal the name soon.
"An official announcement will be made at the RTE Autumn Launch at the end of August so it is a closely guarded secret until then."
Today with Maura and Daithi replaced Four Live and The Daily Show in November 2012.
Since then, it has aired live from RTÉ Cork Studios and, as a result of their massive success and rising ratings, the time slot has been significantly expanded over the years.
The show is reported to boast more than 200,000 viewers as a result of Daithi and Maura's presenting style and relationship with the viewers at home.
