A young mum has died just two months after giving birth to her only child after testing positive while pregnant.

Natalie Forshaw aged 30, bravely fought for her life after the arrival of her beloved son, Caleb, on November 3.

He was delivered by an emergency C-section at St Mary's on Oxford Road - but the new mum was forced to remain in hospital after testing positive for Covid-19.

She was treated in the Intensive Care Unit of Manchester Royal Infirmary but died in the early hours of Boxing Day.

Tragically, Natalie, a beautician and hairdresser from Burnage, had shown signs of rallying in mid-December which had given her family hope.

Man, 25, dies after falling from bridge

A section of the M56 has been fully closed off this morning due to a 'police incident'.

The incident is between junction four for Wythenshawe and junction five for Manchester Airport on the westbound carriageway.

Traffic is queuing at the scene as officers take cars off at junction four.

Styal prison's most notorious inmates as child killer Savannah Brockhill jailed

As child killer Savannah Brockhill begins a 25 year sentence at Styal prison for the murder of 16-month-old Star Hobson we take a look at some of the other notorious inmate locked up at the women's jail.

Brockhill, 28, an amateur boxer and security guard, who called herself the “number one psycho”, punched the toddler to death in Keighley, West Yorkshire, on September 22, 2020. She laughed in the dock as the judge announced her sentence.

Frankie Smith, 20, mother of Star Hobson, has been jailed for eight years for causing or allowing the death of a child, but was cleared of murder.

The pair will have their sentences reviewed in the next month under the unduly lenient sentence scheme.

HMP Styal, near Manchester Airport on the outskirts of Wilmslow, opened in 1898 as an orphanage, the site became a prison in 1962.

Fiz Stape knew when to kick a man when he was down as she delivered a shock statement to ex Tyrone Dobbs.

Christmas was an eventful one at No.9 when love rivals Tyrone and Fiz's new man Phill Whittaker came to blows.

Their 'fight' spilled onto the cobbles with water guns, and inflatables used to goad each other before finally calling a truce and enjoying the Christmas market singalong.

Both with their tails between their legs, the pair were on their best behaviour during the latest trip to Weatherfield on Monday night.

Watch moment brawl spills onto streets in front of Salford apartment building in early hours of morning

A large fight broke out (Paige Oldfield)

This is the moment a huge fight spilled out onto the street in front of an apartment block in Salford.

The brawl was caught on camera by concerned residents as a group of young people attacked each other.

Footage was taken outside the Adelphi Wharf apartments on Adelphi Street at around 3am on Monday (December 27).

A witness said the fight, which involved around 10 people, lasted for 15 minutes.

Police were called but the group dispersed before officers arrived.

One witness, who did not wish to give his name, told the Manchester Evening News he woke up to the sound of shouting in the early hours of the morning.
