SANGARIUS can give his trainer Sir Michael Stoute an incredible 12th success in the Coral Brigadier Gerard Stakes (7.25) at Sandown Park this evening.

The bay entire has been limited to just three starts since his Classic campaign, landing a Listed contest by a nose at Lingfield Park six days before Christmas on his second outing of 2020.

The five-year-old comes here on the back of three seconds for 2021, the most recent of them being a one-length defeat by Stradivarius in the Group 3 Sagaro Stakes at Ascot on his return to the fray.
Jack Mitchell's mount doesn't face so lofty calibre of opposition here, and should justify his place at the head of the betting.
