A further 3,894 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in Scotland in the last 24 hours — including 318 in Ayrshire.
The Scottish Government say the figures are higher than expected due to a backlog of tests now being processed.
Latest data shows there are 591 Covid patients in Scottish hospitals which is down 61 from Friday. There are currently 43 people with the disease being treated in ICUs.
Meanwhile, there are 54 Covid patients in Ayrshire hospitals while fewer than five people are being treated for the illness in the region's intensive care units.
No new deaths have been reported meaning Scotland's death toll from the virus remains at 9,649.
However, 12,127 deaths have been registered in Scotland where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to Sunday, November 28.
In terms of Public Health Scotland's rolling seven-day infection rate per 100,000 population, Falkirk has the highest rate in the country – at 598.8 as of Sunday, December 5.

East Ayrshire has the second-highest infection rate at 588.8 while East Dunbartonshire is third with 476.3
In terms of Ayrshire's remaining two local authorities, South Ayrshire's rate stands at 377.2 while North Ayrshire's is 312.8.
Of the new cases reported in Ayrshire, 160 were in East Ayrshire with 95 in North Ayrshire and 63 in South Ayrshire.

A total of 4,354,064 people have received one dose of a Covid vaccine; 3,960,681 are double jabbed and 1,889,285 people have received a third dose/booster.
