A further 2,636 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in Scotland the last 24 hours – with the disease claiming another 11 lives.
Figures published by the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland today show there are 515 Covid patients in Scottish hospitals which is an increase of nine from yesterday.
There are 46 people with the illness being treated in ICUs across the nation which is an increase of five during the same period.
The 11 new fatalities mean Scotland's Covid death toll now stands at 7,772.
In terms of Public Health Scotland's rolling seven-day infection rate per 100,000 population, Midlothian has the highest rate in the country — at 655.4 as of Tuesday, July 13.
Dundee City has the second-highest infection rate at 569.9 while East Lothian is third with 453.8.
Of Ayrshire's three local authorities, North Ayrshire has the highest rate of 238.2 compared to East Ayrshire's rate of 209.0 and South Ayrshire's 194.5.
A total of 114 new cases were reported in the region in the last 24 hours, with 43 in East Ayrshire, 41 in North Ayrshire and 28 in South Ayrshire.

There are 14 Covid patients in Ayrshire hospitals – down one from yesterday – while fewer than five people are battling the disease in intensive care in the region.
A total of 3,948,446 people have received the first dose of a Covid vaccine and 2,914,904 have received their second dose.
