A further 3,118 Covid cases have been diagnosed in Scotland – with another spike in the number of patients being treated for the disease in the nation's hospitals.
Figures have been published by the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland this afternoon as part of the national COVID-19 daily briefing.
Nationally, 215 people are in hospital which is up 13 from yesterday. There are currently 20 people with the disease being treated in ICU.
The number of newly-reported positive coronavirus cases recorded by NHS Ayrshire & Arran has increased by 169 to 20,710.
Of the new cases, 89 were from East Ayrshire and 43 were attributed to North Ayrshire. There were 37 new cases in South Ayrshire.
A total of 277,335 positive tests have now been recorded from 2.238 million tests carried out since the start of the pandemic.
According to Public Health Scotland's rolling seven-day infection rate per 100,000 population, Dundee City has the highest infection rate in the country – at 713.9 as of Monday, June 28.
The second-highest is East Lothian which has a rate of 661.1 while Midlothian (621.9) has the third-highest rate.
Locally, East Ayrshire's infection rate stands at 398.3 with North Ayrshire at 251.6. South Ayrshire's is 214.0.
Currently, 21 of Scotland's 32 council regions have an infection rate below the national average of 339.6.

One more death has been announced in the last 24 hours which means 7,713 people have passed away since March 2020.
However, data from the National Records of Scotland (NRS) shows 10,150 deaths had been registered up to Sunday, June 20 where the disease was mentioned on the death certificate.
Across the UK, the figure is 128,103 as of last night.
There are 12 patients being treated for the disease in Ayrshire hospitals, which is down two from yesterday, and fewer than five in ICUs.
Nationally, a total of 3,781,887 people have received the first dose of a Covid vaccination and 2,701,195 have received their second dose.
