Hi Strands fans. A nice and easy one today. "Taking the bait" can surely only reference the art of fishing.
I found MACKEREL at the bottom of the grid to confirm things, and then set to work on the spangram.
I could see the word "fishy" so spent a fun few minutes trying to figure out what connected to it. Eventually I found it: SOMETHINGSFISHY, which created a nice fish shape in the middle of the board - love it when the puzzle setters do that.
It was now just a case of catching the remaining four fish. The two on the left-hand side were spotted first: HALIBUT at the bottom, and TROUT at the top.
On the other side, SALMON was at the bottom, which just left SNAPPER at the top to complete the puzzle.

Hi Strands fans. I hope you know something about boat parts, because that's what today's puzzle is all about. I don't, so inevitably struggled, but I somehow muddled my way through with only one clue.
I used said clue right away, and it revealed HELM on the right-hand side. Thankfully, even with my virtually non-existent knowedge of boats, that was unambiguous, and I began looking for other parts.
I found HULL a little below it, and that cleared a path between the two which spelled "boat". I was able to extend that into the spangram of SAILBOAT.
I then found MAST in the top-left corner, followed by RIGGING in the gap between all my found words. I then moved onto the bottom half of the grid and found RUDDER below HULL and KEEL on the left-hand side.
There were just two words to find, one in both of the bottom corners. STERN was on the left, while TILLER was on the right to complete the puzzle.
