We’re less than three weeks away from the Cheltenham Festival but there is still an exciting card on display at Kempton today, with no fewer than four graded races.
The Grade 2 Close Brothers Pendil Novices’ Chase goes off at 13:50 and sees Tamaroc Du Mathan - who has form behind Shishkin this season - face a small four-runner field as he looks to score for Paul Nicholls.
Then, at 14:25, the Grade 2 Close Brothers Adonis Juvenile Hurdle is headlined by Alan King’s Tritonic, who could have Triumph Hurdle hopes at Cheltenham if performing well today.
The Grade 2 Sky Bet Dovecote Novices’ Hurdle at 15:00 features an intriguing Irish raider in Cape Gentleman, but another Nicholls runner, Atholl Street, looks set to go off favourite.
The graded action is rounded off by a competitive-looking Grade 3 Close Brothers Handicap Chase at 15:35, featuring lots of familiar names.
