Good morning Cardiff!
Well it's been a busy weekend jam-packed full of events and happenings across the city - here's a round-up.
The Cardiff City FC protest saw more than 2,000 supporters march from Canton to Cardiff City Stadium, reports WalesOnline. There are some great videos and photos over on DJLeekee's blog. He's also posted news of a car crash in Butetown yesterday afternoon - I'll keep you updated in this one.
Also on Saturday, a Cardiff's recently launched 'critical mass' cycling awareness event took place. According to Sam Coates on Cardiff Central Greens blog - a number of cyclists were bumped and abused by fellow street-sharers - the gas-guzzling kind.
On The Sprout there's a review full of praise for New Theatre's To Kill A Mocking Bird. As well as news of Grassroots Cardiff's night to raise money for Haiti at Clwb Ifor Bach later in March.
WalesOnline has done much to support the campaign to save Llanishen reservoir - preventing American company Western Power from stubbornly continuing with development on the Grade-I listed site. Here they report the latest protest from Reservoir Action Group (RAG) - that emptying the reservoir could cause catastrophic damage to the clay basin. Read more here.
I retweeted some TwitPics of Doctor Who filming in Victoria Park on Friday - it appears Smithy from Gavin & Stacey was also taking part in the episode.
Today is International Women's Day and we'll be bringing you info of events taking place across the city to mark the global festival, along with a guest blogpost from one feminist activist and IWD2010 organiser. See the full listings on their website here.
Tonight Milgi Art Club invite you to bring your fat pants for a bit of a spring spruce.
