Toby King latest after reports of Wigan Warriors interest in Warrington Wolves star

Toby King will not be joining Wigan Warriors.

A report in League Express claims the Warrington Wolves centre has emerged on the Warriors’ radar following the news of Oliver Gildart’s impending departure, with the Wigan ace set to join Wests Tigers.

But sources have told Rugby League Live that Wigan have shown no interest in King and that any reports saying as such are wide of the mark.

Instead, King is still considering offers from four Super League clubs, the Wire, Hull KR, St Helens and Catalans.

The 24-year-old Dream Team inductee has yet to make a decision on his future, though there's an expectation that he will come to a conclusion in the next week.

King’s decision is likely to see an already hectic transfer market kick further into life, with clubs to pursue other targets if their pursuit of King is unsuccessful.

Catalans are looking to replace Israel Folau whole Saints are considering their options with Kevin Naiqama’s future up in the air.

Rovers have made a major play for King too, who's brother, George, is already on the books.

They are keen to add top domestic talent to their ranks as they attempt to rise the Super League ranks.

While Wigan will go in search of a replacement of Gildsrt, King will not be the man to take up that role.
