Toby Alderweireld has sent a message to all those doubting Spurs ahead of Saturday's Champions League final against Liverpool.
It has been a rollercoaster of a season for Tottenham in Europe with the club looking destined to exit the competition at various stages.
Starting off the group stage without a win in their first three games, the Lilywhites progressed through to the final 16 by the skin of their teeth after registering a point in Barcelona and Inter Milan failing to beat PSV at home on matchday six.
While the round of 16 tie against Borussia Dortmund was slightly more comfortable given they went to Germany with a 3-0 lead, Mauricio Pochettino's team progressed against Man City with VAR ruling out Raheem Sterling's stoppage-time goal in the second leg.
They once again had luck on their side in the semi-finals as they somehow managed to go through against Ajax despite finding themselves 3-0 down on aggregate with 40 minutes left on the clock.
With Spurs now in the Spanish capital ahead of Saturday's game, Alderweireld tweeted a message to anyone doubting the team as they come up against Liverpool.
He tweeted: "We've been written off time and time again. But they forget...We dare to dream!"
Liverpool are the favourites to win the competition after losing in the final 12 months ago against Real Madrid, yet you certainly wouldn't write off Spurs given what's happened over the course of the competition so far.
