Toby Alderweireld has provided a reaction to his new Tottenham deal that fans will love.
Alderweireld was one of the many key players at the club who had an uncertain future ahead of the January transfer window.
But the 30-year-old has now signed a new deal until the end of the 2022/23 season and insists he didn't want to play for another club.
Alderweireld says he feels at home both professionally and personally with Tottenham, with the Belgium international sending a classy message to the fans.
"I am very, very happy. No words can describe my time at Spurs. There is no other place I can be happy," Alderweireld told the club's website. "I am honoured to play for this club and I'm just a small part of this club getting to the next level.
"If you are happy and enjoying yourself, time will fly. It's not only me, my family is very happy here.
"I have a very good connection with the club and the fans. I used to play for Ajax and I have a lot of respect for them but I'm a Spurs player now and I couldn't see myself playing for another team.
"I have a love for the club. It feels like it's both ways. I think the club likes me and I love the club. It's like a dream.
"We really work for each other (as players) and want to achieve big things. We couldn't do the things we have done in the last couple of years without a very good group."
