To win the NBA All-Star Three-Point Contest, Steph Curry will have to go through Allie Quigley

NBA All-Star Weekend is upon us, and that means fans will be treated to a three-point shootout featuring the best in the business.

All eyes will be on Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry — a veritable three-point master who ranks third in NBA history in all-time made threes. If that wasn’t enough to garner the hottest of spotlights, add in that Curry will be competing against his brother, Seth (Portland Trail Blazers),  future Hall of Famer Dirk Nowitzki (Dallas Mavericks) and reigning Three-Point Contest champion Devin Booker (Phoenix Suns).

But all contenders for three-point glory will have to go through Allie Quigley, who plays in the WNBA for the Chicago Sky.

In February 2018, Booker scored 28 (of a possible 34 points) to claim the 2018 NBA All-Star Three-Point Contest title.

In July 2018, Quigley stepped onto the Target Center court at the WNBA All-Star Game in Minneapolis to defend her 2017 Three-Point Contest title. Not only did she keep the crown by winning the contest, Quigley’s final score of 29 set a new record for the most made three-pointers in WNBA — or NBA — All-Star history.

Curry dazzled the crowd with a score of 27 to win the 2015 NBA All-Star Three-Point Contest. This year, however, the crown will not fully be his unless he equals Quigley’s score of 29 or beats it with 30 or more.

Until then (if it happens): All Hail Three-Point Queen Quigley!
