TK Maxx shoppers ridicule £130 furry heels that look like 'skinned Muppets'

When you go into a TK Maxx store, you never quite know what you're going to find.

But even with the wide and sometimes random selection of items on offer, you might not expect to find furry shoes for sale.

Well that's exactly what one visitor to the High Street Kensington store recently spotted and they were so shocked by them that they just had to snap a picture of the bizarre collection of footwear.

The furry shoes are made by designer brand Dolce & Gabbana and come in a selection of bright neon colours, including pink, yellow, purple, blue, green and orange.

The label inside the shoe claims they originally retailed for £500, but the high street store is currently selling them for £129.99.

The shoes have been compared to characters from The Muppets (ITV)

Photos of the shoes were shared to the Facebook group, TK MAXX gallery of Horrors where people shared their thoughts on the heels.

Almost 1,000 people liked the post, with many of the opinion that the shoes looked as if they had been made from skinned Muppets characters.

One person commented: "A Muppet for every occasion."

"All the poor Muppets who had to die for those," proclaimed someone else.

"Sexy Muppet cosplay here I come," joked a third.

The shoes were also compared to characters from Sesame Street such as Big Bird and the Cookie Monster.

A different user wrote: "The blue ones are perfect for a Cookie Monster costume."

"Big Bird energy," said a second.

Meanwhile not everyone was totally against the look, with one person adding: "These are so horrible that I love them."

Shoppers also recently mocked a different pair of shoes being sold in TK Maxx for capturing the "swimming pool look".

Customers ridiculed a pair of designer shoes saying that look like they're covered with swimming pool-style shoe guards.

Others joked that the £100 footwear by Joseph were "perfect" for wearing during a foot and mouth epidemic.

The black and blue creation were also dubbed 'operating chic' and that they gave off a 'swimming pool look.'

Janet McConnell posted snaps of the boots from TK Maxx's website, adding: "Amazing! They really have captured that 'Swimming pool' look!!"

Lauren Matthews said: "Perfect for when you want to look fancy during a foot and mouth epidemic!"
