TK Maxx shopper 'gobsmacked' to find £145 Kate Spade sunglasses for £35

Shoppers have been left shocked after finding out the price of a designer sunglasses worth 145 found in TK Maxx.

Bargain hunters and fashion lovers often head to high street giant TK Maxx to find discounts on real designer items. One woman found two pairs of sunglasses by designer brand Kate Spade for a fraction of the price.

Kate Spade is a hugely popular brand known for its bags and sunglasses, though they can often set shoppers back hundreds - if not thousands - of pounds. TikToker Ashleigh (@ashleighward01) took to the social media platform to share the sunglasses she found in TK Maxx.

The video was captioned: “TK Maxx sunglasses haul. Which ones do yous prefer?” The TikTok showed Ashleigh visiting a store in Belfast and snapping up two pairs of Kate Spade sunglasses.

Over the video, she said: “Yesterday I went to TK Maxx in the Boucher Road in Belfast and I was literally gobsmacked at the amount of beautiful designer sunglasses. I must have spent about an hour trying them on; I ended up settling for two pairs of Kate Spade.

“The first pair are this gorgeous burgundy, they’re so simple but so effective and they only cost £35. I looked them up online and Kate Spade sunglasses are really expensive.”

The clip zoomed in on the price tag attached to the sunglasses. TK Maxx priced the glasses at £34.99, while the RRP is listed as £145.

Showing off another pair of glasses, Ashleigh added: “The second pair was like a dark tinted pair that was really different in shape, a lot thinner, had this lovely cheetah print kind of design on the inside. These ones were £49.” Glasses in a similar design on the Kate Spade website are priced at around £140.
