TJ Reid's fiance Niamh de Brun 'devastated' after Kilkenny beaten in All-Ireland semi-final

TJ Reid's fiance Niamh de Brun is 'devastated' after her husband to be's team were beaten by Waterford in the All-Ireland semi-final on Saturday.

The former Miss Ireland contestant took to Twitter after the Cats' loss to tell fans how proud she was of the Kilkenny marksman.

Reid chipped with an incredible 1-14 for Kilkenny as Brian Cody's men succumbed to a second-half onslaught from the Deise at Croke Park.

In an emotional tweet, she described the work and time Reid and his teammates had put into playing the sport.

Taking to Twitter, she said: "Devastated for Kilkenny. When you see the work, emotion, time that they give and what it means to them - forever proud of my TJ."

The pair are planning to wed in February after Covid-19 interrupted their planned wedding this year.

The couple announced their engagement back in March 2019, with Reid popping the question at the Europe Hotel and Resort in Killarney, Co Kerry.

Taking to Instagram at the time, TJ shared a gorgeous snap of the couple sharing glasses of champagne beside a bouquet of roses and a bed covered with rose petals at the five-star hotel.

“Let the celebrations continue. Cheers to my wife to be @niamhdebrun", he wrote.

Niamh also shared the happy news on her Instagram page, writing:“I said yes”.
