Titwood Road: fire crews at scene of road crash in Glasgow south side

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service are at the scene of road crash in the south side of Glasgow this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the incident on Titwood Road.

It's understood Police Scotland are also at the scene, however, they have been unable to provide any details at this time.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson confirmed: "The fire service are in attendance there following a report of an RTC on Titwood Road in Glasgow."

First Bus have also advised the road is closed, with diversions in place, while Glasgow City Council confirmed the road is closed between Dumbreck Road and Herries Road.

UPDATE: Police have confirmed a woman has been taken to hospital following a crash involving two vehicles.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: "Emergency services are currently in attendance after a crash involving two vehicles on Herries Road in Glasgow which happened at 1pm.

"A woman has been taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital."
