Tito Ortiz and Oscar De La Hoya's former training site is for sale in Big Bear

April 21--How's this for a one-two punch: A mountain compound formerly owned by MMA fighter Tito Ortiz and, before him, boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya has come up for sale in Big Bear.

De La Hoya, who once aspired to be an architect, designed the two log cabin-style homes on the grounds after acquiring the land in the late 1990s in separate transactions. Ortiz bought the compound from De La Hoya nearly a decade ago for $2.1 million and owned it up until last year, property records show.

Now for sale at $1.75 million, the gated compound combines to offer a total of five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms in nearly 7,200 square feet of living space. A detached four-car garage previously used as a gym also resides in the grounds.

Among features of note are antler chandeliers, river rock accents and fireplaces, and vaulted ceilings topped with skylights. In one log cabin, an updated master suite touts his and hers vanities and a glass-enclosed shower. In the other cabin, a second master suite has a copper soaking tub.

Both cabins feature a den/billiards room.

Tall pines, a putting green and a running stream with a footbridge make up the 1.15-acre grounds.

Robert Angilella of RE/MAX Big Bear holds the listing.
